Th-Th-Th-That’s all folks. I ended the fast a day early. I think I could have pushed through to Sunday, but I am a little concerned. Sunday night I will jump in the family truckster and head on a 17-hour trip to Florida. The inside of a minivan may not be the best place to break a fast. I had visions of uncontrolled bowel movements resulting in a stench, followed by kids getting sick; all somewhere in rural Georgia.
Was it a good experience? Yep. I learned much, was able to slow my spirit and body down, and even lost some weight (which I plan on using as an excuse around the Thanksgiving table next week).
Maybe the best thing was the support of fellow fasters. There is nothing that brings you together like suffering.
Godspeed my friends!!

25 Nov 2006Hi Scot,
I know I don\’t know you at all, but I am starting a fast today for 4 days, and I came across your journals. I know 4 days isn\’t very long, but I just wanted to see if you could keep me in your prayers. I have something very important happening on Wednesday morning that I need the Lord\’s help with. Please pray that I will be strong. Thanks so much!
