How to Kill Worry

Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Phil 4

  1. I have seen the depths….it was where God found me! He restored me and brought me \”home\”!! God did that when I was at the depths of my sin…I have no fear…because I believe His word!! Although I can\’t imagine why, I am the object of His affection!! Not because of who I am; because of who He is!!

  2. I had a big problem that started last Friday night, and all I could do was cry. By Tuesday afternoon, I was still crying. Could not put the worry out of my mind and I felt totally helpless. My son, Adam, who does not go to Church but apparentely has listened to his parents through the years, said to me, \”Have you prayed about this?\” I said, \”Of course I have.\”, and he said, \”Well your prayers aren\’t working. You know Super Pray-ers. You need to get your Super Pray-er involved to be praying for you.\” I actually started laughing. Of course he was right. My Super Pray-ers went to work and that allowed me to put my worry aside. I know that they have my back with God, and I could just relax and release the situation. The next morning, I found myself hearing the music to \”I Surrender\” in my head. Good lesson for me to call in people to pray for me when my prays seem ineffective so that my worry can be released.
