What makes Vince McFarland one of the best bosses in the world?
- A tenacity for the kingdom that I have seen out of few men.
- Exceptional wisdom
- An ability to be led by the spirit of God.
- A willingness to take risks.
- An ability to let his staff dream, experiment, succeed, and sometimes fail.
- Exceptional leadership of his family (props to Sandy in that department as well).
- Compassion displayed toward me on the golf course.
- An unending pursuing what God puts in his heart.
- A love for the local AND global church.
The list could go on. Vince has led Maryland Church as Sr Pastor for the past two decades. He has taken the hits and has advanced the kingdom. But what makes him beyond exceptional in my book is this: He is giving me his job.

20 Aug 2012I\’ve admired Maryland Community Church since you were on South 7th Street. Have you any tips for a small non-denomination Full Gospel Church in the growth. The population in our remote Fontanet area has declined along with our attendance. Would you have anybody that may be willing to discuss possible actions we could take?

20 Aug 2012Hi Van. I think sometimes church growth is an elusive thing. I have learned great things from searching God out (I\’m sure you are doing that), reading, asking questions, reading, and visiting churches that seem to have some movement. Our staff is always looking at different churches, trying to learn from them. If you would like to vist MCC sometime and even chat with one of us, we would welcome that.
