WHAT:
Soul Leadership Cohorts are groups of 4-7 men (plus me) who are in similar ministries and stages of life. Care is given to placing you in a group that would fit you the best.
WHY:
In order to grow in effectiveness, our soul must be healthy and our leadership must increase.. A Soul Leadership Cohort will help you do that.
Pastors who have gone through a cohort journey, report that their staff and families observe increased effectiveness, vitality, presence. The result is an all around better leader, a healthier team, and a more effective ministry.
Sadly, a 2022 Barna study found that pastors across the country are experiencing an alarming decline in mental and physical health.
The study listed these growing concerns:
Poor mental health
Poor physical health
Loneliness
Lack of true friendship
In addition, more than two in five pastors (42%) have considered leaving the ministry.
If the above stats are true, spiritual leaders are either in crisis or heading toward one. We’re on a mission to change that. A Soul Leadership Cohort will be instrumental in getting your soul healthy and your leadership bolstered so that you can take your church to the next level.
HOW:
Here is a rundown of what a Soul Leadership Cohort looks like:
4-7 men (plus me).
These are men who are leading in similar environments and similar stages of life. They understand your struggles and pressures.
Two Years.
A lot can happen to you and through you in two years. This length gives time for the group to process major ministry initiatives and pressures; which are typically years (not months) long.
Two onsite meetings per year.
Twice a year we will meet together at a large resort style home for two and a half days.
Connection.
Via text and email, you will have full access to the members of the group as well as to me. It is helpful to stay connected in order to navigate life both personally and professionally.
Additional Considerations:
Your prep work for these in-person sessions are minimal. (You already have enough to do.)
You will need to commit to the annual connections. It disrupts the balance of the group if you drop in and out at random.
We will meet on location, typically at a large resort-style home / VRBO. Housing costs will be covered by your registration fee. All meals onsite will be covered. Meals out (minimal) are not covered.
We will have a private chef who will provide meals while on-site, taking into consideration any food allergies as well as dietary restrictions and preferences.
