God and Abimelech are in the middle of a conversation. Abimelech took Sara away from Abraham. This act was a crime. Abimelech admitted the action but pleaded that he did not know they were married. The act had been done with a clear conscious, and God did not hold him responsible.
I need to pay close attention to my conscious. In the moment when I make plans or take action, if my conscious is telling me, even in a small way, that this is not right, I am guilty.
God, I want to live with a clear conscious. Please make my conscious sensitive to your spirit. Raise up in me a sensitivity to conviction. I will do my best to serve and represent.
