Paul is asking the churches to prepare a room for him. He is in jail and has not been released. He doesn’t have a release date. However, he says “prepare a room.” Why the confidence? Because everyone was praying. They actually believed that God would do what they were asking. They had they audacity to act on what they were asking. God had not yet answered, but they were acting like he had.
I pray, but do I prepare like he will answer? We have been praying for more people to know Christ, but we have not been preparing. God has caught us off guard several times this year. Like we were surprised that he actually answered our prayers. Pitiful. We need to pray and prepare. He will answer.

Maybe God is not answering our prayers because we are not acting like he is hearing them. Maybe he is just living up to our expectations.
Time to get busy.
